Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To see carrier quotes for life insurance, you answer six questions: gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, amount of coverage you want, and how many years of protection. Those answers are all we need to show you rates. Your name, phone number and address are only collected if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are the rates each carrier quotes based on the health class you selected. The final premium is determined by the carrier after underwriting, which may confirm, improve or change your class. These quotes are for information only and do not guarantee price or approval. The issued policy and its endorsements control your actual coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

Clicking Apply opens a secure application that continues on the carriers' platform. The answers you gave here prefill the form automatically. You can stop and resume your application anytime, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the amount of coverage you want, and your answers to health questions. Many carriers today offer accelerated underwriting for eligible applicants and decide immediately without an exam. Each quote shown on this site tells you whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.

Is a longer term better?

A term length should match the years when your family needs financial protection most: a mortgage that needs to be paid, children growing up, a business loan to be cleared. Longer terms lock in a lower rate for more years but cost more each month. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year terms side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not collect your contact information, we do not sell or share visitor data, and our measurement is cookieless. See the privacy page for a complete list of what we collect and how it is used.
